1 million night stays in Balchik in the summer

A 13 % increase in the number of Bulgarian tourists has been registered during this summer season in the municipality of Balchik, the mayor of the town Nikolay Angelov informed. Over 43,000 Bulgarians preferred the White town for their summer vacation. There is a slight decrease in the number of foreign tourists visiting the town, who were about 114,000. The realized number of night stays amounts to nearly 1 million. Currently Scandinavian tourists are holidaymaking in Balchik. Romanian guests visit the resort town every weekend. The marine alley Dambata, which would connect Balchik and the resort of Albena, is envisaged to be finished next season.
