The Bulgarian Belogradchik Rocks took the lead in D category – caves, rocks and valleys, in the chart for the new 7 world wonders, outstripping the recent favorite in that category – the Devil’s Town in Serbia.
“This position shows that the success of Belogradchik Rocks in the chart had turned into a national cause that unites, motivates and gives national self-esteem to Bulgarians,” the town’s mayor Emil Tsankov said.
